| This is so weird. I too was searching for other moms that have gone through VACTERL and I.A surgeries. Two years ago, you were writing about this on your blog, which is why it came up to help me with my search. My 8 mo. old son has had 3 surgeries this past fall/winter. I have some specific questions...perhaps if you have the time to shed some advice. You look like a busy mom! I have three boys myself, all under the age of 5, so I totally understand if you cant get back to me. Please shoot me an email if you can!

| I stumbled on your page by mistake, searching on google. My son Shane is exactly 2 years younger than yours. I was wondering if you could offer some advice. Now that Shane is on somewhat of a schedule and I'm feeling comfortable with being a mom and caring for him, I'm experiencing extreme cabin fever. Prior to having him and was very active (even up to the day before I went into labor)..i'd love to go outside/mall, etc but it's been below freezing most days and either raining/snowing/sleeting, so we usually only get out once during the week. Although my husband and our parents have been very helpful on weekends/holidays off, it's been rough during the week, have any suggestions? By the way, your son is adorable. |

| Hello. Your little boy is beautiful. My little boy was also born with Vater Syndrome. He has only one kidney, hydronephrosis, kyphosis, Scoliosis, and hemivertebrae. He also has trouble having bowel movements. Colin is 11 months old. He is walking and no one would ever know he has all of these things. I am really glad to see that your little boy is doing so well with everything. It really gives me hope and a positive attitude about everything. Well good luck and I wish the best for him:) |
